With maternal and child mortality rates amongst the highest in the world AMURT’s Primary Health Program in Ebonyi State Nigeria is saving lives. Just over a week ago a former Food for All DC Volunteer Andy Watts traveled to Abakaliki (the capital of Ebonyi) to implement a new database system for their Maternal Health Program. Andy has been working on this system for many months and finally got to meet the folks who will be using and benefiting from this system. There is still a lot of work to do but he is making great progress. Food for All is very proud of everything Andy has done and we can be sure that his work will be greatly appreciated by everyone there involved in the program.
